Iron Ridge Secondary Campus is poised to open in September 2024 as the first high school for the town of Blackfalds, Alberta. This new educational facility is part of the Wolf Creek Public Schools and is expected to accommodate up to 1,000 students, providing a modern setting that includes ample natural light and open spaces and excellent acoustics (provided by Western Noise Control) conducive to learning.
The location was selected to complement the historical significance of Blackfalds as a major railway hub, with the name "Iron Ridge" reflecting the town's historical connection to iron and its geographical features.
