Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack School

Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack School is a new high school located in the Meadows area of southeast Edmonton. Named after Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack, a respected member of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation and an esteemed advisor and elder within the education community, the school reflects his dedication to education and Indigenous advocacy. Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack has been deeply involved in promoting cultural understanding and educational initiatives within Edmonton, making the school’s name a tribute to his lifelong commitment to education and community service.
